First Place Fencing Club offers new classes
We have youth classes beginning Tuesday, Jan 5; Wednesday, Jan 6 or Thursday, Jan 7. Adult classes started Tuesday, Jan 5 and Friday, Jan 8. If you're considering it and haven't signed up, we can still take some newcomers. Or, wait for new classes to start in February with new youth classes starting on Feb 23, 24 or 25; and Feb 23 and Feb 26 for the adult classes. Click here to the registration page.
With just this quick introduction of the sport, you'll be ready to get into the groove and go right at it with the best of them! On guard!

First Place Fencing Club is the premier fencing training center in the San Francisco peninsula. We provide fitness with fun to all who want to learn and practice the wonderful sport of fencing.
NEWS:
- Saber fencers sweep the Halberstadt Saber Challenge. Bryson Abilay leads the pack with a gold, defeating teammate Gary Milne who ends up with a silver. Bronze goes to Will Milne. Read more here.

- GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD SILVER! First Place Fencing Club fencers earned 6 gold medals this weekend (hey, better than some countries at the Winter Olympics!) in Summer Nationals qualifying events. Nicolette Stoddart was a double gold, winning the Division II Women's Saber qualifiers, and then joined with the team of Nicolette, Mary and Jenna to defeat the Halberstadt team for the gold in Women's team saber qualifiers. Then on Sunday, Gary Milne defeated teammate John Stayner while Bryson Abilay defeated teammate Andrew Gleeson as First Place Fencing Club swept the Division II Men's Saber qualifier spots. In the afternoon, it was teammates Jeffrey Dalli over Blake Thornley for the gold and Danny Clark over Micha Fireman for the bronze. And the men's team of Thornley, Abilay, Gleeson and Stayner took the gold in the Men's team qualifier while the team of Segale, Hsu and Fireman took the bronze. Also, congrats to foilist Ryann Swale for her silver medal finish in the Div II WF in San Francisco. Yeah, a good haul for the weekend.
