First Place Fencing Club is the premier fencing training center in the San Francisco peninsula.

We serve the following cities: Burlingame, Millbrae, San Mateo, Hillsborough, Foster City, Belmont, San Carlos, Redwood City, Menlo Park, Atherton, Palo Alto, Stanford, Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Sunnyvale, Fremont, Hayward, Alameda, San Leandro and Union City


NEWS:

  1. ❖  WE HAVE MOVED!!!  First Place Fencing Club has expanded by moving to a new location  with 4800 sqft of space.  Our new location is 835 E San Carlos Ave, Suite B, San Carlos CA, 94070.  Come by to see the new-and-improved First Place Fencing Club!

  2. ❖  SUMMER CAMPS sign-up:  For beginning kids, here’s your chance to learn this fascinating sport.  We are offering three camps this summer.
        Session 1 is July 14-19, 9AM to 4PM
        Session 2 is July 21-26, 9AM to 4PM
        Session 3 is August 4-9, 9AM to 4PM
    These six-day camps will including thorough conditioning, strategy games, flexibility and agility workouts, and instruction in the sport of fencing.  There will be a mock tournament at the end of each session (the Saturday), so don’t forget to bring your camera to catch your child in action!

  3. ❖  Top youth saber fencers:  sign up now for the Pre-Summer Nationals Youth Saber Camp.  Camp dates are June 23-28 9AM – 4PM.  Limited spaces, so contact the club for signing up!

  4. ❖  Top junior foil fencers:  sign up now for the Summer Foil Camp.  Leading this camp will be Olympic Gold Medalist Andrea Borella.  Assisting will be Alphonze Carter, associate coach at First Place Fencing Club and head coach of First Place Fencing Club, Eric Dew.  Camp dates are August 11-15 9AM – 3PM.

  5. ❖  Spring Classes starting in May:
       - May 13 through June 17,        (Tue) 4-5PM Beginning Youth Saber
       - May 14 through June  18,       (Wed) 4-5PM Beginning Youth Foil
       - May 19 through June 23,        (Mon) 3:30-4:30PM Beginning Youth Saber
       - May 23 through June 27,        (Fri) 3:30-4:30PM Beginning Youth Foil
       - May 13 through June 17,        (Tue) 7-8PM Beginning Adult Foil
       - May 23 through June 27,        (Fri) 6:30-7:30PM Beginning Adult Saber
